Anyone tried one of these? it looks pretty good value as a commuter, thought the tension jockeys are a bit of a design compromise.

Nope that's the common mistake! Most people presume it should come with hoziontal dropouts. It was designed with vertical droputs and a chain tensioner for ease of dropping the back wheel out/repairing punctures - it being pitched at commuters afterall. Road.cc have recently just taken delivery of one for review - I'd stay tuned to see what they think of it.

Good point, I suppose it would make wheel removal easier. As well as leaving a common design with the deraileur models 😉

Hi Tim,

Dave Atkinson @ road.cc has had a 60cm Flight04 on test for the past 4 weeks or so. I think they're planning to put the review up in the next week or so but if you're desperate to find out what it's like you might want to drop him an email in the contact section on the site. Hope this helps!
