Any recommendations for a small rod or pole to take on a few wild camp trips?
Ideally I'd be able to slip it down the seatpost for transport, or just strap it to my rucksack.

As ever, the cheaper the better as It won't see a huge amount of use,
just a few relaxing nights out I think.

Cheers

Pole? This is a mountain biking forum. We fish for trout and salmon in mountains. We'll have none of your green brolly nonsense here! ๐Ÿ˜†
Aldi had loads of poles in for 7 quid. At that price it doesn't matter if you bust one. I am going to get a six piece poacher's fly rod for the very same thing as soon as I can find one. My pal has one that he uses on his motorbike and very nice it is too. He still can't fish for toffee though ๐Ÿ˜€

The last time I went fishing I was around 9, there's not too many trout in the Witham, especially around the Claypole area!

A good poachers rod would be ideal but I wanted to see how it went first without too much spend.

I'll have a word with some of my boring fishing mates ๐Ÿ˜
