Got this journey to make, got a whole day to make it so hoping to ride somewhere en-route.

options; big ride round Peaslake before i set off, or call at Tidworth Freeride, Flyup415, FOD, Cannock, Peaks, Macc Forest, Farmer Johns.... any more?

leaning mostly towards Flyup....

I would go to Cannock ,coz',
A) it's not too far off course.
B) you could ride Peaslake any day of the week.
C) Navigation not required.

flyup would be a bit of a detour no?
Cannock would be good but unless you're going off piste or doubling up you'd be pressed to get more than 2/3 hours out of it.
If I had a whole day my choice would be the dark or white peak, nothing beats superb natural riding through forests and over great big rocky hills.

flyup not really a detour, go that way sometimes (M4, A419, M5) when there are hold ups on the other routes, s'alright.

have you a decent strava loop of dark peak i could nick?

take your pick from here but there are tons online and if you put up another thread asking for aq dark peak gpx with a specific title you will likely get lots of replies.

would recommend the ladybower loop.
