Moving down near that area and wondered what's there

Off-road preferred - Mtn or CX.

Seems like a good few roadies around but given it's near the Chilterns, what else is there? Ta

Grew up in RG4 - Sonning Common - but was in the days before I really rode properly. Tonnes of bridleways through beech woods and along farm tracks, great for CX from what i recall (my first mountain bike was basically a cross bike with skinny flat bars) and there are some bits and pieces of ST around woodcote and nettlebed but I couldn't find them myself.

Grab an OS map & go hunting!

There's plenty in & around the Hambledon/Turville area - half the fun is working out your own favourite route.

Yep - all part of the fun

I do like a bit of company on a ride tho - especially when discovering new pubs

I'm RG9, lots of stuff round here, especially if you're into CX and like some quiet country lanes in the mix. Conditions can be awful in some areas when we've had lots of rain though (which definitely doesn't apply at the moment).
Be happy to offer my 2p on any routes you find online but not up to much in the way of riding as waiting to get my wrists sorted re carpal tunnel.
There are acres of bluebells round here but they won't be lasting much longer.

Head towards Marlow and Winterhill. Lots of trials and elevation in that area.

I'm a bit further north in the Stokenchurch area.

Plenty of decent riding around North-End, Pishill and towards Nettlebed. As said above, just get an OS map and follow your nose.

Half the fun is just exploring. Trails are the driest I've seen for a long time right now and the bluebells are out too. It's all good

Swinley is only about 20 mins drive from you and well worth a visit. Though many mock it for being a bit tame I always enjoy a spin around it.

There's a lot of great singletrack throughout the Chilterns, and Henley is a good spot to start from. I'm based near to Pangbourne and ride the area a lot.

A good place for you to start would be with beer. Jeff is a rider and they go out pretty regularly!

That beer site looks great - ale and bikes, cheers!

I'll try n look Jeff up and also have a play around with the OS maps to see what I can find.

STW to the rescue again

Try this as a starter to give you some ideas:

Loads of options for you, but you will need to explore and figure out the best routes, and the best way to take certain paths. Basically look for anything north of the Thames and south of the M40 (if you're riding from the door) and lots of woodland singletrack criss-crossing the place. Get used to linking bits up on the road, but it's great.
