I have a 2013 ex8 and the seat post doesnt go very far down into the seat tube before hitting the pivot bearing.its a 17.5 inch frame.im looking at getting a reverb for it because im struggling to get my weight over the back of the bike because the seatpost is too high and I can't lower it further and ive already cut the post down 50 mm.im worried if I get a reverb it wont sit all the way in the tube so wont solve the problem.so has anybody else had this problem? And does anybody know haw much of a reverb fits in the seat tube?
Not sure how different the 2013 model is, but I've got a 2012 17.5" EX8 and a 450mm reverb goes in all the way (which is too far for me). The original post supplied seemed very long, and like you didn't really allow you to drop it far enough.
My girlfriend has the WSD version on the 16.5" frame and the reverb works fine in it.
