Noticed on yesterday's ride that my Reverb Stealth (the new version, 6 months old) has developed a bit of a 'clunk' and is sagging slightly when I sit one it. Just a few mm I think, but going over bumps I can feel a bit of play/clunk. I don't think the seat post did this when it was new. I'm using it on a hardtail, so I guess it's getting more of a hammering than on a full-suss. What's the current thinking on this? Is a few mm acceptable? Send it back? Fix it myself? Thanks for any info.

Its in the warranty period, why not get it sent back before it gets worse

It might just need the air pressure topping up. There's a valve at the bottom of the post if you take it out, the pressure is supposed to be 250 psi, but best to check. If it drops, the post develops a little sag. The clunking could be play in the bushings, but try the air thing first.

Oh dear... As above check the pressure but that sounds like how all of old ones died, that common issue the new one was supposed to fix 😆

Sagging on the new ones is common. Might have been a batch thing though as reports seem to have died down a bit.

Hm, cheers all. Bit disappointed really. Think I'll try pumping it up and then if that doesn't work send it back and see if a new one performs better. I had the old one for two years of faultless performance.
