Im looking to get a reverb for my 2005 enduro elite and have noticed a lot of retailers are selling the stealth at a lower price, my question is will a stealth post be ok in my 2005 enduro frame or do i risk too much of a cable kink coming from the bottom of the seat tube/will it foul the shock?
I think from looking at the pic below i know what the answer is....

Any advice would be great.
Thanks
It's a fluid hose on the Reverb not a cable, so unless the hose gets pinched by the shock under full compression I'd give it a go. Take the spring off the shock and re-install it, then compress the bike fully. Do you still have enough space for a hose routed from the underside of the toptube? Is it going to rub on the coil? there may be more room available if the hose comes from the top tube and around and up the seat tube from behind.
I had one of those Enduros, nice bike, but not much real estate to drop your post.
Actually on second thought, have you considered routing the hose along the down tube with zip ties, along that frame part parallel with the shock, and up along the inside of one of the legs straddling the shock into the seat tube? A lot of zip ties but it might work.
interested to hear where you've seen cheap(ish)stealth posts?
sodar routing along the downtube could be a good shout if the hose is long enough but i suppose i could always fit a longer hose if required, would be a nice way of doing it and mean i could use a stealth (i wold prefer too nedless of cost)
Top tube and round the back may also be a good idea, might have a little play with a length of hose and see what conclusion i come too.
Yeah i love this bike, keep being tempted by something new as its getting old at 2005 and its no great climber on the coil but point it down and its amazing!
Paul123 bike-discount have the stealth for £190, i know merlin have normal reverbs for £174 but only in bigger size and i need a 30.9.
cheers
I was thinking sit this when I had my 06 Enduro. I would definitely go down the downtube either all the way to the bb and up the back and inside the shock eye, or along the brace under the shock and around the inside of the shock eye. Don't go along the top tube it will look wrong all the other cables are going down the DT. It's a shame you have a front mech as you could have used the cable guides.
BTW I upgraded to an '11 Enduro Evo frame a few months back and it is better in every way. The rest of my build is the same as on my '06.
yeah i would like a new enduro frame at some point, deffo considering a stealth post now
