[#9878647]

I had to remove my rs post for a service and neglected to wind out the speed adjuster on the lever so it was set on fast when I disconnected the hose. I didn't realise it at the time... I know RTFM... now that i have re-installed the post it is slow to return on the fast setting and won't even activate if I set the lever to slow, plus the lever is slack.

Should I:

Disconnect the hose with the lever on fast, wind the setting to slow and reconnect.

Wind the setting to slow, disconnect, reconnect..

Other.

Gut feeling says that I've probably introduced air or lost fluid in the process and it will need a bleed but can anyone advise if this can be rescued without a bleed? Thanks

Bleed time I expect.

Even without making the same school boy error, mine always needs a bleed after refitting.

Deffo bleed, it's dead simple to do.

You can sometimes get away with a ghetto remote lever bleed, saves taking the post out etc.

I know this, because the heap of crap Reverb Stealth I have needs this doing every week or two...

Bugger. Not worried about doing the bleed it's just another thing to do before I can ride again - and I'll need a kit.

Thanks folks.

Thanks Si, I'm up in Tyneside and appreciate the offer but ordered a kit from Epic last night. Cheers
