Fully extend it and pump it up to 250psi. It should sort it.

Thanks for posts

I have pumped it up to 250psi but it lost pressure.

£75 for a full service at Loco, just wondering if there is a service kit I can buy?

Regards

take it back to where you bought it, it'll likely be replaced under warranty.

Just had mine replaced under warranty for the same fault. The fault is even shown at the start of the rockshox service video as a fault that only rockshox can fix.

It's way out of warranty, can you not buy a service kit?

If it's not the air pressure, it's not a simple fix. The IFP needs resetting which requires a post bleed kit (NOT the same as the hose bleed kit) and the IFP measuring tool.

Both look like they are doable at home, and there are instructions on the SRAM website, but I guess it's not really cost-effective to buy the tools unless you're doing it often. I would be very interested if someone has devised a method to bodge this.

See if you can get it warranteed.

IFP measuring tool = bit of 20mm plastic conduit with 125mm marked off on it...
Bleed kit - not actually necessary if you don't mind wasting oil and making a bit of a mess!

But don't tell rockshox that! 😉

All I have done is fill the entire post head with oil to the brim and left it to settle for an hour or so, being very thin oil the air will rise quickly. Insert the inner brass tube but don't push it all the way home.
Slide the ifp over the post and rock to expel any air before the seals meet the post.
Push the fips down to 125mm then push the inner tube to fully seat it into the poppet valve (you could actually fully seat it before but then you'd need an assistant to operate the lever as you pushed the ifp!)

From that point on, follow the rockshox guide to continue rebuilding.

Ps. KS build all their posts in a bath of oil to prevent the need for bleeding, so it's not that radical an idea!
