Do any of you Revelations owners remember what your steerer looks like? Is it a uniform diameter all the way along its length, or does it flare out slightly just before (about an inch) it meets the crown?
Ive just got some and mine do. They were ordered as 1 1/8 steerer and thats what it says on the box too, but due to a few dificulties with the headset im starting to wonder if they are tapered 1.5 to 1 1/8 in the wrong box 🙁

Do they look like the second from the left? To be honest you would really know if they were tapered.

would be obvious as 1.5 inch is a lot bigger a tape measure would tell
the 1 1/8 flare a bit for the crown race to fit tightly, think you'd know if it was a tapered steerer
There is a slight flaring on all steerer tubes. This normal. Its where the lower crown race sits(interference fit). If your concerned you've got a 1.5 taper steerer, the difference is pretty chuffing large.
These are sids, but tapered steerer forks are on the left, conventional steerer on the right.

Phew. Nice one. Started to have a bit of a panic there then.
So next question is... the bottom race must be slightly bigger than the top one then? If the answer to this is yes, then mines missing and thats not a big problem to solve 🙂
