Howdy, Looking to see if anyone has the new 2009 Rock Shox Revelation 426 dual air 20mm bolt through, 140mm on a Cove handob? Does it ride ok, its 8 or 9mm over the maximum recommended 510mm length! Any problems with running a fork over the max length? Cheers.
You'll invalidate the warranty - so if you crack the frame you ain't gonan get a new one.
You'll put excessive stress on the frame by using a fork it's not designed to take, thus hightening the chance of cracking it.
If you really wanna run the fork, slot a spaced inside and drop the travel to 120mm, the Handjob is just about perfect at that kinda travel.
I run mine at 115mm all the time, it doesn;t climb as well at 130mm and feels a bit twitchy at 100mm
Cheers for the post, I was going to run the sag at 25% to drop the angle. Works out around the same as 510mm length fork at 130mm @ 20%. I run a 130mm fork at the moment but its just too light weight as the crown to steerer started to creek and was replaced under warranty. Tried to get a Magura laurin with no joy.
