Did the rules change?
I'm sure that every bike shops returns process used to explicitly exclude the return of helmets, but I can't find it in any of the major online retailers T&Cs.
My last helmet (couple of years back) I got from CRC - ordered a couple in different sizes and sent the ones back I didn't like/didn't fit.
As long as it still has the labels on and isn't sweaty I would have thought you were OK.
I've returned some and accepted returns of some.
Yep, I've recently returned quite a few that didn't fit to CRC, Evans etc. AS long as they still have the tags and original packaging it has never been a problem.
Bontrager do a no questions 60 day return policy on all their helmets and clothing.

CRC were fine end of last year when I ordered about 5 different ones to try. Took them back same as anything else.
