Not been on here for a while as lost the love for all things 26" and concentrated on the 20" but thought some of you might like this (or not as the case maybe) ๐Ÿ˜• anyways, it's a retro 79/81 Mongoose made by a small US company Knight bike co (google them thay make some cool stuff) well this is the prototype they did and then only made another 10 (of which none are in the UK)

So i sent it off to the powder coaters (PWS finishings in Dagenham) and banged on some old school decals.....this is it so far, should be finished by the new year ready to ride the hell out of!

I like it.

Needs vintage trimmings though.

Decals kind of detract from the coolness.

Here is my own project.

Owned since new:

Almost complete too!

Edit >> You sure of the age? Don't remember under seatstay mounts that far back ๐Ÿ˜•

Cool what is it? Not sure what you mean about the decals detracting though? they are copies of the original Mongoose Team decals. It's a new school rider so banging vintage parts wouldn't work. It has retro styled parts like the 'Ruff neck' stem and twin pinch flights but it's my rider so needs to have new parts that last ๐Ÿ™‚

It's not an old school Goose, it's a 2009 knight bike co retro goose ๐Ÿ˜€

Well i like it- reminds me of my old Diamond Back Viper. All that chrome loveliness.
Things have moved on since then and just restoring it back to 1980's would just remind you of how crap old bikes were. Of course they were the dog's danglies back then when we didnt know any better ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ahhh it makes sense now ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Decals look gawdy against the candy red thats all.

New school parts it is then.

Mine is an 80s Meteor Lite.

That is beautiful. I love the prismatic decals and they are spot on for Mongoose.

I had an 80's Supergoose frame and it went in the skip ๐Ÿ‘ฟ ๐Ÿ˜ฅ
