Anyone used or own a Restrap Saddle bag?

I’m going to be cycling to Paris and back and need a pack - this one seems to look very good and better than the alternatives out there?

Pricy at just under £100 but I’d rather buy expensive and good than cheap and mediocre.

A real world review from owners would be good.

Thanks.

There’s a PSA of 30% off at Wildcat Gear
I’d buy this

And a tapered drybag from alpkit

+1 for the Wildcat Tiger harness.

I've also Wildcat's tapered dry bag which is of similar material to those made by Exped. The Alpkit tapered bags aren't completely waterproof - someone did a test by filling both with water and leaving overnight, the Alpkit had lost water whilst the Wildcat one hadn't.

I prefer a separate harness and dry bag as you can take the bag with you and pack/unpack away from the bike. Also if you puncture the bag then you've just got to replace that and not the whole lot.

Teetosugars how do you find it. Was intending to buy the Wildcat holster but the Tess looks nice and compact

I'll maybe buy one when my Carradice saddle bag wears out - which has been used daily for 25 years now 🙂

If you go for the Restrap option, make sure you wear a matching outfit.
