[#3710521]

My Meta 5.5 is looking a tad tired but still rides great. As I have a milestone b'day coming this year, I'm going to get it resprayed.

My bikes have always been ano red/blue dotted about (hubs, headset etc.) on top of a monochrome base. Most parts are either black, silver of white.

I kinda like the idea of going a bit more out there and going red on the front end and blue on the rear. Does this sound minging or would it look ok?

Open to ideas. Canny afford to replace the existing coloured bits:

Hubs - red hope xc
Grips - blue lockon
headset - blue
also blue red bits on the RP23.

Cheers.

I agree, white may be the way to go, but only really looks good with white forks, what colour are forks, rims, bars stem etc? assuming black?

use this to help you decide:

I guess a powdercoater will charge double if 2 colours are involved.

I went for matt black for my Cotic Soul and it's sex wee city. (Which is good).

Well it already sounds a mess so go with orange or neon green or something. Make it really clash.

Currently its white with a black rear end. Bar and post are black, stem is white and fork is a pace rc41 so black ish all over.

I_ache - That was one of the ideas I had. But what to go for? Thought about green and yellow to make a full colour set.

As far as multiple colour cost, I'm going for a quality finish over cutting cost.

Sod it, go for a neon yellow front end and see if they can blend the neon yellow into neon green on the swing arm.

Hmmm I fancy that on my Enduro now.

Raw and powder blue? Not for me.

Blended yellow/green on the other hand.... Kinda like the idea. Though I'd probably go green front to yellow.

Brain wave... green on one side and yellow on the other. Could be the beer thinking ๐Ÿ™‚

Really? Don't think 6 colours are going to look good, will have more similarities with a paintbox than a bike, I'd say. I would just go for a nice red or maybe white or something like a really light brown (bit like champagne colour).

Think one colour is better on a frame.

Henni in my eyes the clash is half the point.
