Didn't capture the first pass where I got a warning helmet tap

Maybe you need a new helmet, search YouTube for 'Magpie proof helmet' for inspiration (on bird deterrent helmets, not beer)

BTW, saw the thread title and thought this would be a request not to mock the STW big hitters 😀

Excellent.

Keep wearing the helmet: buzzards can rip some gashes in your scalp.

Worst I've had is being attacked by redwing blackbirds in the US. Would swoop to just miss you - then pull back as their neighbour took over. A harrowing couple of miles.

Looks like it’s trying to nest in your beard, it would be a comfy home….

There's a trail at yair called buzzards lair. I know folk who have had chunks taken out of helmets by mother buzzard.

Scary. I’ve had the same thing (mid Suffolk). Mate riding in front of me got buzzed(!) by a buzzard, missed me by inches but I felt it. Beautiful birds mind.

I'm not scared, that road is well known for the buzzards. I love it tbh

There's been some aggressive buzzards in the past near me. One runner got some quite bad injuries to his head. Glad I have the lid on cycling 😁

They get quite territorial, I guess they have young at the moment as well. One used to swoop as you rode along the Nutbrook Trail near Ilkeston, and we had some close up encounters at Hicks Lodge a week or two back when I went with my daughter.
