[Closed] Replacing rim - do I need new spokes?

I've just bought a new 26" flow ex rim to replace one I buckled coming up short on a jump. The rim cracked and one spoke was quite bent.

Should I replace the full set of spokes to lace up the new rim, or can I just replace the loose spoke?

Does anybody happen to know what size spokes I need for a rear hope pro2 onto a 26" flow ex rim?

Pretty sure 260mm works for both sides of a rear pro2 with a flow. I wouldn't bother replacing the spokes, just ziptie the new rim to the old one and swap all the spokes across.

Cheers, I've already taken all of the spokes off the old rim though... ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Are the standard spokes sapim race on the hope hoops?

You should always replace your spokes on a new build but plenty of people Re use them and they are fine. You will know if they have had a hard life or not and if they should be replaced.

Take a spare spoke to your lbs and they will measure it and sell you some.

Depending on what the nipples are made of you might want to change them if they are looking old.

Will you also be guessing the pattern? ๐Ÿ˜‰

They've not had a hard life so will go ahead and just replace the one. I was a little worried I'd have to keep trueing the wheel up if I didn't replace the full set.

Will you also be guessing the pattern?

To be honest I think I'll just give it all to the shop to build, I'll only mess it up!

This is what I would have said if you'd asked earlier. Very quick and easy. Obviously too late now ๐Ÿ™‚

I'll just say that Roger Musson suggests it's fine to re-rim a wheel and I'd take his advice anytime.

Prob right about nipples though and def the bent spoke.
