Can't seem to find a guide on the internet for this. Got a sticky piston which has crumbled a bit, so it seems like a good time to learn how to build a brake up as I currently don't really have a clue how hydraulic brakes work.

Is it simple as disconnect the hose/banjo thing, split the caliper, push/pull the old pistons out then push the new ones in with some red rubber grease (where do you buy this from?) then bleed? What about the seals, where do they go? Oh and is this kit all I need?

Cheers ๐Ÿ™‚

ok I'm an idiot and just realised that the link I posted has a guide as one of the reviews ๐Ÿ˜† Does that cover everything?

Anywhere else sell the piston/seal kit? Out of stock on CRC.

The Bike Chain have them in stock at the moment. I've been meaning to overhaul an old pair for ages but haven't got round to it yet...

Is that the pressure foot kit? Thanks for that, cheaper than CRC!

Follow this:

It's really straight forward, make sure you get scrubbing with a toothbrush to get all the crap out. The seals bit is self explanatory once you get the pistons out - very difficult to go wrong.

Good luck!
