Just wondering if anyone has replaced wheels before on a Genesis Croix de Fer?
It seems to be really difficult to find info on this subject. I want to replace the Alex DF-23's on my 2011 CdF with Stan's Alpha 400's laced to Hope Pro Evo 2 hubs.
The hub spacing is 100mm front & 135mm rear, so I know the hubs will fit the frame & forks, I'm just not sure about the brakes though as I'll be going from the original hub lock discs to the 6 bolt variant. Not sure about the brake alignment? Anyone done this?
6 bolt and centre lock are built to the same standard spacing. You might need to tweak the calipers a little, but no more than you might need to between 2 different 6 bolt hubs.
I've just done something similar to a similar bike - just got the stans 340 wheelset for my peregrine. calipers needed a little tweak - SLX to stans, both 6 bolt hubs.
