Morning all,
I have a Bontrager Elite Dropper however can't quite get the remote lever to sit wjust right with my ispec brakes. This has got me curious as to what aftermarket remote options are available and which people find most comfortable to use?
I just bought a Shimano MT500 for £22. Amazing and as good as a One-up I had.
Are you using the I-spec specific mount? (when then remote is bought new they come with it)
Ispec doesn't suit all of us...had same issue and was going to buy an ispec to bar mount converter but was cheaper to get the Shimano MT500 mentioned above. Simple and nicely made and actually prefer it to the ZTTO that I also have on another bike.
If you really want it to match then it is easy to make a dropper remote from an old front, LH shifter. Has a nice action too. You can also pretty much get them free now its all 1x
As above, excellent Shimano remote on one bike, ZTTO on another. Shimano definitely the best.
Which ispec variant are we talking about? If it’s ev then definitely the shimano one
I use the Brand-X 2x one as it fits nicely between my grips and brake lever, especially considering I have the fox twin-lock remote under the bars where a normal 1x type lever would go.
It's nice and neat and dead easy to use with your thumb.

The dropper was specced with the bike from new so would like to think all of the fittings were correct. Ideally I'd like to keep the amount of fittings on the bars to a minimum so want to keep with the ispec fitting. The Shimano one is compatible and not too spendy so will have a look at that.
