[#7034430]

The inner plastic ring on the wean's Bheinn20 has broken and his chain keeps falling off (naturally).
Islabike stopped using that chainset a while back and so cannot replace the guard. They'll sell me a new chainset and BB for £45 or so. But I'm not keen on spending that much money on replacing a broken bit of plastic.

Can you get chain devices for bikes that small?
Any other ideas?

Narrow/wide and a clutch mech?

Seriously though, you may be able to fix a front mech in position (without cable obviously, just set the low stop screw to get the line right). I've just checked on one of ours, and think this should work (although you may have to shim out the front mech depending on what you have in your spares box)

I use a Gusset Lil'Chap on my son's bike, bought off here, as new ones aren't that much less than what thye quoted you.

Wow, striking similarity to Superstar ST device. Well, they are the same thing, just badged differently.

I've used the Superstar one, but it was horrible on the frame I was using it on, as the grub screw which holds the horizontal rod never held things tight enough, and it kept on slipping. Locktite kinda worked.

In fact, I've probably still got it somewhere. If I can find it I'll send it your way.

Pinnacle from Evans only £14 fitted one to my daughters' bike, no issues so far.
