I haven't ridden a full suss bike since my 2010 stumpjumper and my lovely wife has offered to facilitate 'A day pissing about on the kind of bike you wouldn't buy'. I've googled around the places I can think of but everyone seems to have a fleet of hardtails and ebikes. I'm not really interested in an ebike for this particular day (they're great, just not what I want here).
Does anyone have any suggestions of places to try? Anywhere in the Inverness/Aviemore area would work.
Cairngorm Mountain hire full sus bikes, but not sure if they'll let you take them out of the park.
Although not sure if they're open due to the ongoing fire in the area.

Cairngorm mountain only list e-powered full sussers on their website. Not what I’m after.
Wolftrax might work, but I’m trying to tie the day around a family aviemore trip so it’d be a bit of a detour.

You won’t find any full sus bikes for hire in Aviemore. It’s either hardtails or e-bikes.
Where do you plan to do the actual pissing about? And is this imminently or at some point in the future. I'm assuming you appreciate how much of the area around Aviemore is not currently accessible....
But agreed, save for hire at actual trail centres like Laggan or Glenlivet I'm struggling to think of somewhere that would do you a hire full suss within the Cairngorms or Inverness areas.

The closed area isn't that large, though it does include the track between Glenmore and Nethy Bridge. We expected one of the road blocks to be moved back yesterday but it's been delayed by a couple of days. I guess the main "hooning" area currently inaccessible is Badaguish and that should be ok from Tuesday next week.

That would be good to know, although I'm not sure of the ethics of treating the demo fleet like a bike hire. As much as I'd love another bike I'm no buying any more for a while!
Just an off-the-wall thought I had when driving through Kingussie earlier. The Spin Project (was backcountry.scot) don't do bike hire but they DO sell 2nd hand/refurbished bikes. If they had something suitable you could buy it, use it for a few days and sell it back to them... 😉
Bothy Bikes is in Kingussie too and do bike hire but I don't know what they have.
