Hi
Stupid question, but I want to replace the bottom bearing in my hope tapered headset. its a tapered headtube and the forks are tapered not 1"1/8th
Cant seem to get the bearing out.
Don't want to start whacking the wrong bit, so any suggestions as how to best persuade it to come out?

Looking down the headtube, you'll see the silver inner race inside the lower cup, use a long drift and a smallish hammer to tap it out. Try to hit it front, back, left, right,in small increments, as otherwise you may cock it. It shouldn't take much effort, they'll usually come out just using a finger hooked on each side to wiggle them.
