[Closed] Removing bearings from Roval front hub

Evening all,

Just wondering if anyone has any tips for removing cartidge bearings from a Roval Traverse front hub? One side seems to have a larger diameter bearing than the other, and there is an alumnium 'spacer' sitting between the two bearings making it tricky to tap each bearing out individually.

I'm sure there's a dead simple way of doing it, so thought I'd ask before I go at it with a big hammer and too much enthusiasm.

Cheers,
K

if they're anything like the Roval SLs I have, there is a spacer in between the bearings, but you can push it sideways out of the way, then drift the bearing out from the opposite side. It turned into a very easy job on my SL hub.

What did you use to drift it out with?

And did you just tap it out from the other side as above?

Sorry for asking, got the same wheels, front one needs new bearings ASAP too...

I used a socket from a socket set. I actually moved the spacer to the side, and then got a socket to sit on top of it and through the middle of the big bearing. Used this to tap out the smaller bearing then used a bigger socket to tap out the bigger bearing. In all it took about 3 mins. It's proving slightly harder to find a decent 6806rs bearing at a decent price.
