28 laps - unbelievable.

I managed 4 as part of a quad. My 4am lap took me 1:45 ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

How many did "Twinkly" Dave Powell do?

He Tweeted that he and Jason "Terrahawk" Miles were 2nd and 3rd overall and 1st and 2nd in their category.

Oh my word that was good. And 28 laps is just daft. Having managed 8 myself, I struggle to get my head around how anyone can do that many. Respect.

I've ridden a little with Alex and some of the other Leslie Bike Shop riders. Their training is awesome. Whereas I'll drive to a trailhead to meet them for a 3 hour plus freezing rainy and rooty nightride, they'll ride out there. Thrash themselves then ride back home again.

Respect indeed.

Epic stuff. I just hope all those with a long drive home are OK. I wouldn't fancy it myself.

Worth putting a mention on for Marie Meldrum who won the female solos by two whole laps! Pretty impressive for someone who up until a couple of days before was planning on riding in a trio.

I kept passing Marie through the night, she was just plugging on..

and while the rest of us were wrapped up warm in base layers and windproffs she was in a lycra SHORT Sleeved cycle jersey.
Big Respect to the lady.
(and to all the Solo's especially those over the 20lap mark!)

Marie was incredible- she beat our solo woman by a few minutes, massive respect to the pair of them.

We got 2nd in Men's Trios. Not the win we were hoping for, but Boyd, Stuart and Tom Owen are animals so overall I'm really happy!
