Just thinking at the moment.
I hate mudguards, but they have uses, would it be possible to put a strip of reflective tape down the length of a SKS chromplastic guard?
Would something like this work?

I've done similar on my training/ commute bike.
Red tape down the rear stays and on the tip of the guard and the silver/ white on the forks. It can be removed and cleaned up easily enough too without any damage to the frame.

Sounds like a good idea. I saw someone on a night ride with a strip on his seatpost. It seemed as conspicuous as a LED light.
