Thanks to those that helped on my headset and stem thread!
Should I buy red or white handlebars for this?

Cheers. And no, the 90s aren't getting their tyres back! ๐
If that's your choice:
White
(but would suggest you keep them black)
Cheers.
Now that's a spanner in the works. I shouldn't have started this! ๐
With the colour of your tyres and grips I don't think anyone will notice what colour your bars are
Thats very true Liftman!
I think I'll go white!
I see the rear brake hose from The Goodies tandem has found a new home.

id hate to see your wardrobe
My wardrobe is pretty conservative colourwise.
As a kid I always wanted a red Rockhopper. It was the early 90s and purple ano finishing kit was in fashion. I never ever got my Rockhopper so I bought this secondhand a few months ago so decided Id have the bike I wanted as a nipper in the 90s.
Touching eh? Nah, thought not! ๐
And the brake cable will be shortened when they need bled!
getting the bike, cool, putting the purple tat on, strange man!
I've explained why. If I get bored of it, which I no doubt will, it's only grips and a set of tyres. Easily changed and didnt cost a lot. Then it'll just be red and white.
But for now the purple stays! ๐
Surely you can find some purple bars to match. Please. ;
sack the purple, stick to black bits, will look smart for years to come...
I did find some but decided against it. Apart from essentials, I wont be spending anymore on it. It's just for me to kick around on to try to get fit.
I have no doubt that will happen Tim. It's just a bit of fun. If I get into mtbing properly again during the summer I'll probably end up with a new bike anyway.
save your money for forks, ill give you some bars/grip/tyres to never be in liverpool with that colour scheme ๐
Deal! ๐
BTW do you mean not buy a new bike and just get forks for this?
well i don't know your situation, but if the bikes running & you have jet put discs on, forks would seem logical at some point, i always advocate a new bike though ๐
Just getting forks would certainly free up beer tokens!
This MTB caper throws up many a quandary.
