Ive come across a guy in the states called Pheonix cranks who reconditions old or new cranks with a bead blast finish $25 or satin $15 or polished $10 does anyone know if there's anybody who does it in the UK ?

beadblasting and polishing services are not rare AFAIK.
You might want to get them lacquered or anodized after.

the evil salty snow has messed up the exposed aluminium on my cranks, would like to get them smartened up again
