Noticed some play on my Anthem ๐Ÿ™ Where's best? Easy enough to replace?

Depends on what tools you have available. I managed to get them out of my Anthem, but it wasn't pretty! The lower link in particular was a PITA iirc

For bearings, airborne_101 on eBay (I think that's the right name) is a good place to get them

stevied's link above or BETD. And not particularly easy in my experience - most are blind and disintegrate when you try to get them out, leading to all sorts of Dremel related brutality to try and remove the outer race.

You'll need a bearing removal & installation tool to do it right as they're a proper pita. I just googled them and got them
From PB Bearings I think

Before you go to the expense & hassle of replacing the pivot bearings, check it isn't just the bushing on the top of the shock - that's usually the first to go, especially if its of the old DU type. Hold wheel down with foot and lift up on saddle. Put free hand around top of shock and you'll feel if that's where the play is.

If it turns out you still need to replace the pivot bearings, the best solution is a Maestro bearing tool kit...

But for what that costs you could pay the LBS to do it for you, so it depends how many times you're likely to do the job.

Go to ebay and get some from Kasae - "Katec" is the business name. Incredibly good & reliable if a little wacky, I got a nice proverb delivered with my road bike bearings.

Katec for the bearings & it's a simple enough job to get them out if you have an ounce of mechanical ability. Most tap out with suitable sized socket/drift,for the blind bearings use a rawlbolt.

Thanks everyone.

This is what I felt when getting the bike out the car so I'll check that first, thanks.
