[#10517924]

Looking for a small vice for the man cave. It's going to be used for mainly serving my shocks and reverbs and other ham fisted bodging. I've been looking at a Stanley Multi Angle Hobby vice. I was just wondering if anyone had used one and if they're any good? Any other ideas gladly received.

Whatever's old & comes up nearby on eBay, I got a monster one for £7.50.

The vice will be used by the Hookers for the S & M nights. 😂

4" Irwin-Record, £30 from Machine Mart (may be cheaper elsewhere), based on my experiences i'd avoid anything smaller, or with adjustable mounts (as they're generally a bit crap).

I shattered one of the cheap £22 4" ones a few weeks ago. I bought another similar £22 one... Things like the Record etc are just crazy money. 99% of it's life it's used to hold the shelf for Zwifting rather than actually doing a proper vice job. I also need/want to have a swivel base so i can get it out of the way.

I'd go with Coatsy, if you wait for a cheap Irwin/Wotan/whatever you may be waiting a long time. Don't get me wrong, if one came up I'd grab it but would rather have something functional first.

That restoration was a good watch, subscribed.

I bought a Record one about 20 years ago I’ve just looked at the prices. Wow! Just installed mine in the new TiRed man cave. Oh how I’ve missed it. I use it to clamp my bike stand too.
