Decided that an edge 205 doesn't really meet my needs any more as it doesn't hold enough waypoints.

What is a recommended GPS for the bike?

Obviously must have a handlebar mount available, can store a route with lots of waypoints - 500 would be nice
Can also be used for geo-caching with the family..to get the purchase past the misses ๐Ÿ™‚

Would be able to display standard OS maps would be nice, but not essential

nsaints, I use a garmin etrex legend hcx. It's a bit bigger than your 205 but is a lot easier to use. I've used both a lot. I'm not sure of the # of waypoints, the web will tell you. It'll display maps, I'm not in the UK so don't know about OS but it must do. I've got Spanish maps on it and it's great.

I found some limitations with the 205. The inability to store enough routes, the inability to follow a route and record at the same time was a big one for my use. No map was a biggie for me too.

I'm delighted with the new one. Yeah it's bigger but I don't notice it, it fits nicely on the handlebars. It's far nicer to use. You can get the same functionality on one of the newer ones, like the Dakota I think but it's $$$.

Hope that helps.
