[#3870059]

This has probably been asked a hundred times before..

We've in the past stayed at Rosetta campsite and caravan park but on our second trip in 2008 I think it was, it had gone down hill big style - the bar had closed, all the facilities were pretty filthy etc.

As such, can anybody recommend either a good campsite or bunkhouse near Peebles (ish) ?

Has anyone tried the Kailzie Bunkhouse at all?

thanks!

The Bike House in Innerleithen is either a bunkhousy house, or a housey bunkhouse- absolutely brilliant, loads of secure bike storage, good big living space, sleeps 6 IIRC but maybe more.

The camping pods at Glentress are ace too. 4 of us had 3 days up there before, really recommend it. Much better than camping IMO! :_)

I've stayed at the Kailzie bunkhouse a few times and definitely recommend it.

Good bike storage, warm showers, big kitchen and lounge etc.

Only problems I can think of are slightly creaky beds (gets annoying when other people move in their sleep) and that it isnt walking distance to a pub.
