Hi we are looking for somewhere to stay in late April in Peebles Glentress so can ride 7 stands as part of a 50th celebration,  all options considered.

Cheers

Tontine Hotel in the middle of town (Peebles) is nice, food's great. That's where we stay when up that way.

If there's a group of you might want to try Kailzie Bunk house a mile or two outside Peebles, nice location, there's a couple trails on the doorstop for warming up, has a lockable bike room and can sleep quite a few folk

The Park Hotel in Peebles.

Bit quirky but the place is brilliant and the food exceptional. 2 mins cycle to the bottom of Daves Trail.

There's wooden pods right next to Glentress, are they any good? https://www.glentressforestlodges.co.uk/

We are booked into the Tontine for a few nights in the summer. Great to see some positive recommendations - looking forward to it even more now 🙂

Cleikum Mill in Innerleithen is excellent. Secure bike store. Choice of rooms downstairs or the apartment upstairs. Really helpful guys that run it as well. Just down the road from the cafe and easy to ride to Inners or to Glentress down the cycle path.

Has anyone tried the Craiguart Bed and Breakfast near Glentress?

I live in Peebles, my friends run the Trailhouse Glentress. Recently opened, as they've moved back from Chamonix, where they ran a chalet for skiing.

Anyway, it's literally at the foot of Glentress, you can ride from the house, and be at Glentress in about 2 minutes.

It's a beautiful place, they've made it into somewhere that's probably nicer than your house 😉

Only about 10 times over the last 5 years 🤣

Alistair once shuttled us up to buzzards nest for one last run before we went home. Don't let him pour his own measures of your whiskey though!

Great place to stay & mega bike friendly & the breakfast might break you

Good to know on the Craiguart B&B.

Booked for a 3 day trip in May.  Haven't been to Glentress for about 11 years.
