[#1241698]

For my wife who doesn't ride that much, but wants to do more this year as the kids really enjoy it. I'd like to get here a decent warm, breathable jacket with reflective bits (for late night dog walking) that looks okay off the bike as well.

Altura do a Night Vision Evo which I liked but a bit more that we wanted to spend as it's not going to get mega-serious use 😉

Pink or Red tho. That's the no.1 requirements. Size 10.

Probably way out of your price range, but you wouldnt go at all wrong with this jacket. My missus is considering the pink/grey one:

Ive got a night vision one, and its seen me well through this crap weather so far if thats any help?

The womens (pink) one is only £80.99. Depends if she wants to be that reflective when not on the bike though?

That was the one I was looking at. High Vis is good for off the bike. Might for that one then.

Altura do seem to make good women's jackets. I'm about to buy a second one, having killed my RF jacket recently. I can't find anything that fits as well, or stays waterproof as well as Altura does, but it will probably be worth getting her to try one on first, as the sizing is a lot more generous than most other jackets I've tried. I'm not exactly small, but my current Altura is a 12; I've tried on other manufacturers' 16s, and they have been too small...

Right-o. Think one of the LBS's close does Altura so we'll go check.

An Ana Nichoola military ruffle would be perfect! It has all the requirements you ask for, but doesn't look too sporty so will get worn a lot more as she doesn't ride much 🙂 The jacket is a bit out of your price range but is designed and made in small quantities in the UK by an independent, new designer (my sister!). Look out for a review in STW very soon.

The "Curve" jacket by your sister is gorgeous leggyblonde! It would be mine if I had £160.

To answer OP, I've had a women's Gill for about 4 years, it's been worn a lot and re-proofed a couple of times. It's wearing very well and cost around £40.
