Taking a couple of mates up to GT on Friday and looking for recommendations for places to eat on the way home.
Usual route - Innerliethan, St Mary's Loch, Moffat then M74.
Decent pub or the like.
pork pies from Forsythes butchers in Peebles
Not the chinese in innerleithen, wasn't bad, but I've cooked better from a cookbook.
What about the pub at the end of St Marys Loch?
Wouldn't bother with the curry house in Peebles. Not bad quality but expensive for what it is, good deal if you get take away mind.
What about Moffat, anywhere recommended (to avoid if needs be)

The Tibbie Shiels. That would be my recommendation.
We had nice food on Moffat. It was a retired womans sit down restaurant type place.
