As per the title, after a few near misses and sketchy moments on Saturday I think it's time to ditch the OEM Shimano 105 blocks as they are atrocious in the wet.

Any recommendations?

Swisstop Blue.

There's probably reasons for the balck and green compounds, but the blue is great.

Orange/salmon colour KoolStop for me. Cheaper than SwissStop, and for those with long memories, a lot like the old school scott matthauser blocks.

The swissstop green pads are pretty good. A cheaper alternative are the BBB techstop pads, these are cheap on eaby.

If you buy a set of Planet X's dinky little road brakes they come with Swisstop green pads. They're pretty good and don't make your rims manky.

thisisnotaspoon where did you get the swissstop blue pads from? I couldn't find anywhere in the uk that sells them online.

Blue pads would match my frame far better than green and that's important.
