After some chain lube, all seems too expensive, just want something that lubes it without costing the earth! Ain't bothered about how it performs too much as it gets washed off quick in this weather anyhow...cheers folks.

if you get the right lube it won't get washed off.
I'd rather pay more for lube and save wear and tear on my drivetrain, tbh.
engine oil.
Oil is oil at the end of the day. I just don't want sticky oil, which engine oil will be.

ep90 gear oil, apply sparingly, wipe off any eccess.
Synthetic engine oil mixed with paraffin. That's what most chain lube is. Probably.
It works though. Definitely.

i'm not going to recommend chain-l; it's too expensive.
Save your money and just get some 3 in 1 oil.
