Currently using finish line fibre grip on two bikes when installing droppers. I grease the lower section of the post and as the carbon paste around the clamped area. This will be fine for a few weeks then they start getting a horrendous click when in and out of the saddle or when sitting down it clicks over every bump. Usually undoing the clamp, rotating the post side to ride then clamping down sorts it for a ride or two but then it always returns. Is all carbon paste the same, or some better than others? I've no problem with it clamping or post slipping etc I just can't stand the noise!

Is a little bit more rough and grippier than

Both are a once a lifetime purchase - You will never run out unless you get fruity with it.

No, Finish Line feels like grease with coarse sand in it, Tacx feels like a much finer grit.

Have you tried just using grease (Or do you have issues with the post slipping or the dropper binding?)

what wally said. Fiber (sic) Grip is grittier than the Tacx stuff.

If it's clicking 'in and out of the saddle' then are you sure it's the seatpost?

You could try adding a small amount of tape around the post at the actuator end of the post - it may have some play there, causing the post to wag very slightly. Not all frames are an even diameter all the way down.
