I'm on the hunt for a new pair <£80 preferably. Any good deals out there? Recommendations?

Thanks

I find the howies ones fairly fantastic.

No nasty thigh gripper either.

i like the Assos neopros, Castelli Velocissimo but not overly impressed by the Rapha Core's

yes these are all a bit over you budget at list but with the various offer codes usually about they do fall into the budget.

castelli endurance x2 - cheapest way of getting their nicest pad. Can often get them for 60-70 quid

Have a look at the Merlin own brand. Great and not pricey.

Do the Rapha survey and get 25% off a pair of core shorts.

@FS260-ProII mentioned by a couple of people above.
They are indeed excellent, but are discontinued.
The latest version has been upgraded with improved leg grippers and cold black material, but are a little more expensive.

Decathlon 700 or Aerofit. Brilliant shorts imo.

Assos from the factory outlet...a bit over budget but worth it.

Another vote for Madison as a budget option. I have some with the awful name "Sportive". They're very good. Despite the name.

dhb are good, either the Aeron or the ASV. Don't get the cheap dhb ones, though, they're not so good.
Sportful are also good, and cheaper than Castelli etc. The bodyfit model is about £80.

Now's the worst time to buy bib shorts, as they're all full price. You need to buy them in winter, and buy your winter tights now! 🙂

I'm really enjoying my Ale ones from Wiggle. I prefer them to my Assos ones.

Assos mille of various specs. Nothing comes close.

Own Castelli and Howies. Very disappointed with the Howies. Castelli okay.

Those Rivelo Honister are quite warm compared to my normal summer shorts. Good quality though.

+1 Rapha core shorts. They're a great length, hold around the thigh and are very comfortable on long rides.
