Probably a stupid question but middle ring on Raceface Evolve chainset has completely worn out teeth after only a few months riding (along with the bottom bracket) = crap buy all round I think. Anyway , I'm loathe to buy a Raceface middle ring for £30+ if I can use a cheaper (and hardier) middle ring. Can you use Shimano middle rings on Raceface cranks - any recommendations??
I think the bolt circle is the same size (between Shimano and Raceface) but the step the ring sits on is smaller, so you'll need to file that down to fit shimano rings, which are a fair bit cheaper.
