good for off the bike bodding about as well as on the bike. In fact I'd probably wear it 90% off the bike, my Gore Phantom takes care of most weather on the bike. I need a hood, the only thing I've seen that looks ok and fits the bill is the new Endura MT 500.
Rab Drillium
Most of the Sombrio stuff looks acceptable off the bike. And most have hoods. Good quality stuff too

Yep, Rab or Endura woulf get my vote. Neither are too OOT bike styled, and would work OK.
The new style OMM race smocks are very good indeed.
I searched high and low for a year looking for my perfect jacket, and i found it here.
The Showerspass Elite2: waterproof; air scooping sleeves; gaping back and pit vents; breathable material; and a removable hood!
I had to import mine from America but i have recently found a UK distributer here.
Thanks all, the RAB and Endura certainly both look the part. I really like the look of OMM's but maybe a bit lightweight for general use.
I love my Montane Superfly eVent. In fact I love all their stuff that I've got.
Hood too small to go over a helmet, but otherwise it's great for use on bike - and it's genuinely both breathable and waterproof.
Looks good too, if that matters.
