A pal of mine keeps tearing tyres , so far several nobby nics (. including snake skins), nevegals, various panaracers
He probably weighs around 14 stone and he doesn't ride light. As soon as you show him some stoney/ flinty trails the tyres seem to give up on him. So whats good for XC/Trail use that won't tear as easlierly probably up to a 2.3 carcass.
BTW I ride the same tyres and have no problems at all ,but i,m probably 2 and bit stone lighter
