Looking at Fox,which would you recommend, looking at the 32 or 36 would the 36 be a bit over kill, would you go Talas or Float.

Depends what usage you want from them, what frame they're going on and how much you like to tune them.

Assuming its a 5 spot, 36's would be sweet. They're light enough for all day use and as long as you get Talas you can wind them down on the climbs. 5 spot geometry isn't based on a 160 fork so i would definitely go with the Talas.

If you're riding isn't that hardcore then 32's with a bolt through would be my choice.

On a 5 spot I'd look for a fork with a relatively short axle to crown as 150mm get's a bit wandery. Something like a 140mm pike perhaps?

A 2005 5 Spot will require 130mm forks. Go for a Revelation or similar.

Fox 36s will make an '05 Spot handle like sh1t.

I have a 2005 spot with Talas 36's. Granted i do run them at 130 most of the time, and just flick them onto 160 for steep downhill runs.

Was running pikes on there before that, and I like the 36s better!

I put some new 140 vanillas on my 05 HL 5spot... sweet as a nut.

I previously had vanillas too. The spring matches the Romic well.
