[Closed] recommend me a light, singlespeed(able) hardtail frame for 120mm forks

Current shortlist includes Sirius 853, Decade Virsa (?), Simple Soul.

As I already have a Fox 120 it's important that the bike really is designed to be in its sweet spot with a fork of that travel (well axle to crown length) not something that accomodates it at the extremes of useability. And I want something pref dedicated s/s with track ends or at very least ss-able with slidey dropouts or EBB.

Could be steel, could be alloy.

Any thoughts from satisfied owners - anything else I should be considering?

Slot dropout inbred? Supposed to run 100m forks but mind are 120 and if anything it rides better. Otherwise there's the 456 but it's heavier and not a slotty- unless of course you go for the carbon 456 - which I think also has changeable dropouts.

Someone was selling a frame in the classifieds a few days ago - looked in really good condition.

Whyte 19 though I'm not sure if they are currently offering frame only options.

Taking a closer look at the Wanga in my local Halfrauds, I was un-impressed by the welding and general finish. Cheap bolts across the board, nasty looking drop-out plates. The paint did seem to be nicely done though.

The Cotic Simple is amazing. I love mine, running Pikes at 120mm. It is light, strong, good looking and er... simple. I think it rides really well, and lots of other people do too. Also, the customer service from Cotic is very helpful and friendly.

Slot dropout inbred?

Did the OP not say light though? I weighed the frame I have at the weekend, which just has a headset fitted, and it's 5.5lbs.

Why not a ScandAL then, or anything else in alu (not that I can think of any others right now)?

The alloy Whyte 19 is cheaper than the steel and does not have the bb30 bottom bracket.
