Ok, I'm not going to be bombing around Morzine or doing the Tour de France anytime soon so I'm in the market for something just to keep me fit on. Little bit of road, little bit of towpath, something I can just jump on and go for a 'quick' 10/15 mile ride on on an evening.
So, what do you recommend ? Looking around £400-500 mark
SS cross bike maybe? Or maybe SS road bike with 25-28mm tyres? Depends how rad you wanna get, and if you want to be able to deal with much in the way of mud. Cross bikes tend to suck a bit on the road, but road bikes are usually pretty fine off road until it starts getting bumpy or muddy.
I would want something with gears, not single speed . . . I think 😕
Kona Dew - got the basic one and it's been doing 24 miles a day commuting since last September with no problems
kona dew drop 469 at crc. Love mine, does everything you describe.
