Looking for somewhere warm and dry for a family holiday 2nd week of April. Wife has agreed I can ride, and am keen to get some distance in so probably on the road (bike hire nice but not essential). Needs to be kiddie friendly (6-7yr old). Ideas?

Majorca high on the list - only thing putting me off is we've been there a few times already, and wouldn't mind trying somewhere different.
tomsaso - that sends shivers through my spine remembering a holiday in Mablethorpe aged 18 staying at a mate's parents place. Grim doesn't even begin to describe it!
