So what HT's are people riding and why?
I'm Riding a Wolfridge at the mo and thinking of getting a HT frame and swapping parts for a bit,
gonna be running pikes on the front!
456? pic's please
Orange Crush frame
456
mm bop
blue pig
soul
bfe
duster
chameleon
stiffee
alpine
all these pass the fashion test..
Genesis Altitude.
Because it's green and bouncy steel. 🙂
P7 - Again lovely steel frame!
456 here.
So thats the fashion sorted :?, so what about the ride/build/strengths and weeknesses
Just built an Inbred. Seems nice.
Would love a P7.
chameleon- can be built up to do anything, takes 150mm forks, luverly with pikes on. also comes in tasty bright orange flavour!
voodoo wanga- perfect ss steel build, nimble and fun. great paintjob/sliding drop-outs
merlin malt 1- built as a hack bike, nice a light, good looking but not theif fodder!
blue pig
they are all good mate.
all bike are nowadays, play pin the tail on the donkey with my list.
live life dangerously.......... 😉
Does grantway work for Orange?

evil sovereign very cool or the alpine or the stiffee or the p7 or.......
oh, PIKES will not go on an XTC. Forget I said anything
I'm liking the Blue Pig so far 8)
Is that a 18" frame? tom
yeh 18" and im 6ft with a 33" inside leg
Pace RC305, way more fun than my dull arse full sus, Pace's new new range looks cool...
they are all good mate.
all bike are nowadays,
+1
ton knows, he's ridden most of them
will have about £350-£400 to spend
If i get a 456 that leaves £200 for front mech,seatpost,clamp,headset
that might be the better option!
what front mech seatpost, clamp and hs were you thinking of for £200?
XT,thomson,hope
I'm bucking the inbred trend: rigid ss iO and also a Salsa Moto Rapido (scandium front triangle and carbon rear, lurverlee).
how much is the Prince Albert frame? and the on-one is a inbreed or 456?
Chumba HX1 - sorry no photos. Get in touch with Si at Progressive Bikes and he'll sort you out.
Do i win a fashionably unfashionable prize for having just sold my 456 to buy a stupidly stiff aluminium race frame despite being a lardy who has no intention of racing it?
BMC elite, rebas, xt, crossmax's, carbon bits. 6lb lighter than the 456 it replaced. Wont be as easy going downhill, but 80% ish of my riding seems to be uphill anyway. If it breaks me in half, i can flog the frame, buy an inbred and still make a profit. - Worth a go for a few months i think.
No one mentioned Cove Handjob yet? deary me 🙄
SANDERSON, Breath or Life. top frames and not often seen.
Owned P7, Inbred, Soul.
All are great and hard to fault but the most fun = Soul.
Rode / owned a few different hardtails. Always seem to gravitate back to my Coyote Dual. It's currently undergoing a bit of a refurb at the moment but will be back on the trails soon.
456,soul,chumba in that order maybe!
I want an the best allrounder!
i have owned pretty much most of the hardtails mentioned, some of them twice.
out of them all the ragley blue pig is the comfiest and nicest to ride.
anyone ride a P8?
Is the blue pig rear mech hanger a bit thin and bendy?
