chameleon- can be built up to do anything, takes 150mm forks, luverly with pikes on. also comes in tasty bright orange flavour!

voodoo wanga- perfect ss steel build, nimble and fun. great paintjob/sliding drop-outs

merlin malt 1- built as a hack bike, nice a light, good looking but not theif fodder!

will have about £350-£400 to spend
If i get a 456 that leaves £200 for front mech,seatpost,clamp,headset
that might be the better option!

I'm bucking the inbred trend: rigid ss iO and also a Salsa Moto Rapido (scandium front triangle and carbon rear, lurverlee).

Chumba HX1 - sorry no photos. Get in touch with Si at Progressive Bikes and he'll sort you out.

Do i win a fashionably unfashionable prize for having just sold my 456 to buy a stupidly stiff aluminium race frame despite being a lardy who has no intention of racing it?

BMC elite, rebas, xt, crossmax's, carbon bits. 6lb lighter than the 456 it replaced. Wont be as easy going downhill, but 80% ish of my riding seems to be uphill anyway. If it breaks me in half, i can flog the frame, buy an inbred and still make a profit. - Worth a go for a few months i think.

Owned P7, Inbred, Soul.

All are great and hard to fault but the most fun = Soul.

Rode / owned a few different hardtails. Always seem to gravitate back to my Coyote Dual. It's currently undergoing a bit of a refurb at the moment but will be back on the trails soon.

i have owned pretty much most of the hardtails mentioned, some of them twice.
out of them all the ragley blue pig is the comfiest and nicest to ride.
