20 Years service at work so getting £1000 to spend, others have gone for watches, jewellery and private plates but i'm not into that type of thing.

Tax man says i can do an experience but it must be something work can pay for or issue a voucher for, can't just take cash to spend myself.

Looking at something abroad like basque mtb but maybe with a competitive element. The competitive element is tricky as if it is popular you can't guarantee an entry and that would mess work about a bit, e.g Ard Rock (already got an entry by not being greedy and going straight for intro).

Thoughts please.

NZ Enduro. £1000 will cover the entry with a bit left over to your expenses and flights.

Nydia Track, Wakamarina and Whites Bay.

Best 3 days riding you'll ever do.

No competitive element, but Morocco was on my bucket list til a friend and I went a few years ago with Freeride Morocco. Absolutely amazing - not just the riding, but the scenery and atmosphere. Would go again if there weren't so many other things on my bucket list needing checked off 😉

It's about £800 now for the week (including pretty much everything) and flights from the UK to Marrakesh are pretty cheap if you time it right.

Not competitive but if I could get back to Sedona, Fruita or especially Moab I'd do it in an instant.  If you've not been I'd recommend it, I loved riding out there.

Sacred Singletrack in Peru with Saddle Skedaddle

Best thing I've done in my life.  Apart from marriage and kids (in case Mrs Rat is reading)

Torino-Nice rally this year was probably best thing i'd done, it is free apart from a donation to charity for the route card and .gpx, but i'm sure @jameso charity would like  large donation?

Ticked a few off recently but hard to do as a package

Moab riding (Whole Enchilada) & Rampage (Spectating)

Whistler - could do something as a package (get one of the companies to do 2 invoices for £1k and then the balance)

Thanks Guys i'll do some googling

Work boss will go for Warrington, home boss will put a ban on too much overspend so long haul probably out, but to be fair she has approved a weeks lads skiing trip so can't grumble.

Didn't see Morocco coming....interesting odd one

+1 for BC bike race. But as already mentioned, you'd have to contibute a Lot yourself. I can guarantee it's worth every penny though.

Any interest in road riding? Do the Marmotte, that's a hell of an experience.
