Looking for something which covers all the basics so I don't have to come on here asking daft questions about different types of bottom bracket etc!

Any recommendations?

Cheers in advance.

Either of the 'Zinn and the art of...... ' books.

I have had a look through the mountain bike book, and it covered just about everything.

Sheldon was a ******* legend!

Once voted the most interesting person in cycling (on here) I emailed him the link and he was very flattered. He died a few months later.

๐Ÿ™

His site is very useful, especially the chain cleaning kit bit ๐Ÿ˜€

Wonder if he sold any kits?

+1 for Zinn and the art of MTB Maintenance. I've never needed to look in another book over several years of bike maintenance - it's well written, kept up-to-date and has clear illustrations.

You tube or some of the manufacturers own sites are pretty good for help with fitting /set up .

I've found the Zinn book good, however YouTube guides are great. Watching service guides for forks and being able to pause and rewind is brilliant

Sheldon browns site is great but sadly getting a little left behind since his sad loss.
But that and my well thumbed sutherlands binder are things I would not be without even after 15 plus years
