[#10173541]

First off I’m not a roadie so no interest in Strada or the like would like it to do the following

-Current/Average/Max Speed,
-Current Heart Rate/Cadence,
-Trip Distance 1&2,
- Elapsed Time,
-Odometer,
-Clock

Cheers

Might be worth having a look here:

Given that you want cadence & HR, you are probably looking at something like a Lezyne Mini GPS or a low-end Garmin.

I don't think the Cateye devices (which are cheaper) will do heart rate, although they do seem to do cadence.

With something like the Lezyne Mini GPS you will need to buy the sensors as part of a bundle or separately.

Lezyne mini is great, but for really long rides/weekends away battery life is about 10 hours

I use a Garmin Vivoactive HR watch. You'd need to add a cadence sensor.

https://www.merlincycles.com/lezyne-mega-xl-gps-computer-115033.html is £162 at Merlin, brand new, with offline map re-routing.

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/lezyne-super-navigate-gps/rp-prod154491 £115 before BC discount, got one myself, lot of features for the money including ANT+ connections, "live tracking", online re-routing (with your mobile and app), 13+ hours battery life.

@gaundax like the idea of the Garmin watch, can be used for other things in my life.

Any negatives over a dedicated bike computer

Forgive me some blatant plugs for a couple of options.
